Main things i want to do in sixth form are:
- wear whatever I want (I really do not want to be doing art A level in a suit, or what is essentially a suit)
- do the subjects I want (Art, Politics, English (pref. Lang, but Lit is good too), Graphics (/Product design whatever it is) or possibly Physics (other possibilities are Photography and Film Studies))
- be in a school that gets good results, being at Newstead I'm used to everyone wanting to do really really really well, which motivates me do do well. If everyone else is revising, i feel i should be. If i was in a school that didn't really care I just wouldn't do any work.
- not be forced to do stupid sport/community activities. I mean, the thing that's mainly putting me off Tallis is it's mornings of reading to yr 7s. I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS. But it does do especially well in Art and Film and Photography and stuff. And Newstead with their new 'everyone had to do the community thingy bit of the IB because we just want everyone to do the IB' is incredibly annoying
- to have the facilities and good teachers for the subjects i want to do (ideally be specialised in them or get especially good results in them)
- ideally know people that are going already
- be able to get there relatively easily and in under an hour.
At the moment Chris is doing well in convincing me to go to St Marylebone, but my parents are saying that the journey will be long and horrible. I'm used to long journeys having to go to Orpington, but I can see that spending 25 minutes on the packed tube might not be fun. But I love London so...
I thought about going to Christ the King Sixth Form college cos it's near and ~theangelshavethebox's dad works there as an art assistant (lol), but it doesn't seem to get very good grades, mostly B/Cs and I'd prefer a school that gets more A/Bs, even though the art facilities there are quite good.
Another choice might be Dartford girls grammar, ~theangelshavethebox goes there and it has good art facilities, but again it does that whole citizen/community/sports bullshit which puts me off.
One of the things that is annoying me is that the internet isn't much help. I wish there was just some thing where you could type in what courses you wanted to do and it would tell you all the places that do those courses and ones that do them especially well within like a 15mile radius or whatever
So, anyone who has decided to move to a different sixth form, how did you decide and what helped you in making that decision?
(have I just asked basically the same question in two different ways? ah well)

It stood out a lot on the newest deviations page, it was simple and bright, I always love macro shots and i liked the similarities between the texture of the fly's back and the leaf
